Cat

I tried to match the style of the cat to how the logo looked. I used just about all colors in logo onto cat.

Cards

Rin:

* Annie: Very good card, I really liked the complete feel of it. The drawing on the front was really great. I don't think anything needs changed.

* Brandon: I really liked your design, it was simple but at the same time really good. I don't think anything really needs changed except moving your logo up a spot or two on back.

Aaron: I really liked the uniqueness of your card. I think that somehow it needs a little simplified.

Kelsey: I liked the colors for your card and the uniqueness of it. The only suggestion I have would be to fix pixilation on back and maybe change font on inside to something more fancy.

Melody: I thought your card was unique. I liked the front but I think the inside could use some work as far as arrangement.

* Whitney: I really liked the quality of your card. It was like a professional card. The only suggestion I would say is to change logo positioning and text on back

* These were my favorites

Cadillac Daddy

Finished logo including a black and white to see how well it would do being printed in black & white.

Cadillac Daddy Logo

For this logo I had to use Photoshop since my Illustrator wouldn't work. I used a lot of shapes to make the logo as well as drop shadow for effect. The car is a trace of a creative commons picture.

Melody: I liked the idea behind her logo but I thought that she should have avoided the blurred effect. I think it would have been better without the blur effect. I liked the positioning of the records and it really provided good balance.

JP: I like the colors used in the logo. I think it could be improved m=by making font bigger and arranging it differently. I also think it would look better and take away the tv look by removing the base.

Brandon: I like the crest looking logo in the top left. I think it would be better without car or put car inside of shape and blend it.

Molly: I like the layout and how the are both the car and text are arranged same. I think the car effect needs to be redone.

Kelsey: I like the font on the logo and the red oval. I don't really like the stars on the logo.

Whitney: I like the shape and shape effects to the logo as well as the colors used. I don't really like the font but I think it would look really good with the text slanted up and straight.

Anna: I like the hand drawn feel to it. I really like the triangle shape with the smaller triangle effect. I think the text could be centered better and the triangles could be more symmetric.

Rin: I like the colors and the shadow behind the car. I think colors could possibly be a little different and car could be retraced to get cleaner edges.

MIT App Inventor

http://ai2.appinventor.mit.edu/?locale=en#5548775473676288

I have always wanted to try building a app for a phone. Of course I have messed around with AppGeyser before but it wasn't exactly the same. MIT App Inventor provides a lot more tools to help create apps. I learned about the set coding for apps and how code has to be set for whenever buttons are placed. Although it does have advanced tools in it and does have drag and drop coding it isn't necessarily a really hard program to work in. Since it is a drag and drop approach to coding it is pretty easy for anyone to use.

Face Trace

Here is my face trace project we did a while back in class. I used the pencil tool to trace the face. I used the color selector to pull colors from original image. I then used the paint bucket tool to fill in the parts of the trace.

Tinkercad

            Tinkercad

In class this past week we were introduced to a web browser based program called Tinkercad.
We learned how to create 3D images virtually that can be printed with a 3D Printer.
Some of the tutorials we did included making a name keychain and model of a house.

Make Quest

In class this week we learned how to basic computer coding. For the changes I made to the game I changed the platform values to have some longer and some really small. For the characters I changed them using the built in codes and images they provided. I really enjoyed learning coding because of the creativeness you can have with it.

Flyer Project

For this project I chose to work in Illustrator. I used rectangle tool for lines. White to red gradient for the background. Five different pictures that represented different areas of the youth group.  I reduced the opacity of two of them to reduce the commotion of the flyer.

Art Club Logo/Header Project

I used the curvature tool and rectangle tool to create everything you see below. For the brush I only looked at one for example and actually created it with curvature tool.

Juxtaposition Project

For this project I used a image of Mt Everest & A image of The Appalachian Mountains.

I made this as a comparison of Mt. Everest and The Appalachian Mountains. It shows the incredible size of the tallest mountain in the world compared to mountains around our area.

Face Swap

My Personal Logo

I  initially started with the text and built my logo off of the shape of the text. I reshaped the shapes to get slightly rounded corners. For the main logo piece to the right I used shape tools with same sized corners and built the letter S (for Stanley) and then a D (for designs). I used a red color for primary color because I really like using red on graphics. I then looked for a color that could match but not take away from main color.

Initials

For my first initial  I used the warp tool followed by a white to yellow gradient. I then added a pattern overlay and changed the blending mode to where it would show gradient. I then added a white drop shadow and changed the direction.
For my second initial I used a flag warp, red to white gradient overlay, inner shadow, outer shadow, bevel, and finally a inner glow with a slight noise to add a little extra effect.
For my third initial I first used a warp and then went into 3D mode and messed around with extrusion and shadow. I then added a gradient overlay and changed blend mode a bit to add a stronger color effect. After that the final thing I did was add a blue outer glow.
